MARBURG VIRUS DISEASES IN KAGERA REGION, TANZANIA 2023.


   NEW DISEASES DISCOVERED IN KAGERA
REGION TANZANIA



This diseases has been
reported in 16 March 2023 In some Maluku ward and Kanyangereko which found in
Kagera region in Bukoba  Rural Council
and research has been done made in National Laboratory for social health National
Public Health  Laboratory  verified the existence of  MARBURG
VIRUS which cause the existence of Marburg Virio Diseases

 HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF THIS DISEASES

Marburg virus diseases
is not new to the world and according to the World Health Organization for the
first time this diseases was discovered in GERMANY in 1967 in the Marburg City
and its name originated from the city name. and this diseases already reported
in various African countries before Tanzania such African countries including
UGANDA.

 TRANSMISSION OF MARBURG DISEASES

This diseases can be
transmitted from one person to another either through Urine, Blood, from
affected person also can be transferred from animal to human being  if a person eat or interact with affected
animal.

  • Body fluid such as urine,Salivary,Sweat,Vomit,Breast milk of person who is sick.
  • Object contaminated with body fluid from affected persons or who is dead due to this disease.


            Its SYMPTOMS

  1. Head
    ache.
  2. Muscular pain
  3. Fever
  4. Chest Pain
  5. Abdominal pain
  6. Liver failure
  7. Severe loss of weight.

 RISK OF BEING INFECTED WITH THIS MARBURG DISEASES

People may be in risk to be affected with Marburg diseases if they have close contact with ;-

  1. African fruit bat
  2. People sick with Marburg Virus diseases
  3. Non Human primates infected with Marburg virus

           TREATMENT

This disease has
no specific treatment for Marburg virus diseases but it’s treated by symptoms and this is known as
supportive services.
